Stanley Market
This day market is famous for having everything people think of. This is suitable for people who feel more comfortable at a more peaceful place. Stanley Market is just as popular as Mong Kok. However, there is one big difference between them. Anywhere you visit within Mong Kok is loud and lively. No matter where you go in Mong Kok, you will always see people.
On the other hand, Stanely Market is a quiet and peaceful place. It is more suitable for people who like to shop the same categories, but in a quieter area. Compared to Mong Kok, this place is extremely quiet. Shops are just like Mong Kok. They offer a wide variety of clothes, footwear, sportswear, jewelry, Chinese silk garments, paintings, artworks, toys, and souvenirs.
Most of the shop owners here are familiar with English. So don't worry about the language barriers if you're planning to visit Stanley. It is very easy to shop here since there are both English and Chinese every where.

“I’m somebody who cannot stand it when it is too loud. When I went to Mong Kok, I was suprised how loud it was. I knew Mong Kok was the main attraction of Hong Kong and I expected it to be crowded because that was one of the reasons why it was such a special place. I wanted to stay longer because my main focus of going to Hong Kong was to visit Mong Kok, the most crowded place in Hong Kong. I thought I was going to leave with the impression that Mong Kok was too loud for me. I went online and found Stanley Market. Some people described it as “the quiet version of Hong Kong”. Obviously, I couldn’t wait to go see what it was like at Stanley Market. Just like what the website said, the place was a lot quieter and everything there were the same as Mong Kok...maybe a bit less. After my trip to Stanley Market, I got a pair of shoes and some souvenirs for my family back in Los Angeles. I enjoyed both Ladies Street and Stanley Market. I would recommend Stanley Market who those who enjoy quieter places.”- Joyce, 23, American
